If you have a sweet tooth or two, or if you love to bake, or both, Austin Bakes needs you!
Austin Bakes is a group of bloggers, foodies, and local businesses, who are raising money for relief efforts and humanitarian aid following disasters both local and worldwide.
This Saturday, November 4th, 10am-2pm, Austin Bakes is hosting a citywide bake sale to provide funds to aid disaster relief for those affected by hurricanes and earthquakes in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Virgin Islands, and the wildfires in California.
Feast
Come out, bring the kids, and enjoy free cookies, brownies, muffins, cupcakes, cakes, and more, in exchange for a donation of any size.
Even paleo, gluten-free, vegan, and pet-friendly baked goods are available at select locations (goods are labeled with ingredients).
"Austin Bakes provides an opportunity for members of our community to make a real difference in the lives of their local and global neighbors from their very own kitchens,” said Mary Helen Leonard, a founding member of Austin Bakes. “From simple batches of muffins or granola to artfully decorated sugar cookies and handmade bread, our sale tables will be piled high with treats and with love.”
