Enjoy a fabulous day at the A Day for Moms Conference organized by the Mommie Support Network, where you will hang out with other moms, listen to inspirational speakers who understand the challenges of being a mom, and shop at our mom-friendly vendor booths!

Enjoy great music, food, door prizes, and fun activities in a loving, non-judgmental atmosphere.

Breakout Session I – 10:55am – 11:40am

 

Understanding Children’s Developmental Stages

What to expect from newborn through elementary school and how to stay sane in each season.

Mothering Without Guilt and Enjoying God’s Grace: In this engaging, faith-based workshop, we will ponder; What’s in your purse? Is your purse (aka life) filled with too many challenges? We’ll share some helpful hints to help moms clean out their purses of unnecessary burdens that weigh them down with guilt. Did someone say games? Yes, we’ll have a game, too!

Setting Goals (And Achieving Them!): Do you have goals for yourself or your family that you just can’t seem to get going on? Or maybe you’re feeling disconnected and need to rediscover who you are and what you want in your life. In this workshop you will uncover what’s really important to you, set achievable goals, and develop your action plan to create the life you want.  You will be empowered to nurture your own dreams while helping your children achieve their (this is a 3-part workshop that spans all three breakout session time-blocks).

Self-Compassion Tools for Busy Moms: How to stay emotionally well; be kind to yourself; stop comparing yourself to other moms and worrying what others think of how you’re raising your kids. Slay the Super Hero within you (no more Super Mom!).

Single Moms Can Do It Too!: Raising Kids Alone, but successfully. Finding resources for single moms.

Transitions in Motherhood: Transitioning from motherhood to work outside the home or visa versa. Setting realistic expectations, managing changed relationships.

Overcoming Fear in Parenting: How to handle the haunting “what ifs”. How to avoid passing anxiety on to your kids.

More Than Baby Blues: Postpartum Depression, Anxiety and other Mood Disorders: Postpartum depression, anxiety and other mood disorders; how to Detect, how to avoid, how to help (and get help).

Prenatal and Postpartum Nutrition for Moms: Nourishing your body is the ultimate act of self-care and self-love. Mothers will learn that eating cleanly is pleasurable and nourishing on a physical and emotional level and not at all restrictive or time consuming. Food has the ability to create balanced hormones, promote energy levels, encourage a healthy pregnancy and provide healthy lactation. Up your self-care routine by learning what and how to eat to promote health.
