I Live Here I Give Here Invites Austin Families to Give Back on Amplify Austin Day

Family-Centric Non-Profits Make Their Presence Known in Austin

I Live Here I Give Here Invites Austin Families to Give Back on Amplify Austin Day
Volunteering fosters many desirable traits that all parents want their children to possess. However, many children wonder what’s going to be in it for them. How will it directly affect them and their well-being? Many organizations in and around Austin are at the forefront of answering this question and are giving children an incentive to participate in creating a culture of generosity in their community while also encouraging their entire family to join in.

I Live Here I Give Here presents the eighth annual Amplify Austin Day, Central Texas’ biggest day of online giving! Join your community in giving back local to support the causes that mean the most to you and your family.

I Live Here I Give Here - You're invited to give back

Austin families are invited to give back to a local non-profit that they find closest to their heart by participating in Amplify Austin Day, the biggest day of giving in Central Texas. They can also get involved and advocate for a nonprofit of their choice by setting up a family fundraising page to share with friends and neighbors. In 2019, Amplify Austin raised over $11.2 million for 750 local non-profits. This year on March 5-6, hundreds of local non-profits will be fundraising to reach a new community-wide goal of $12 million in just 24 hours. Families who support non-profits that make our community the place we love to live, grow, and play make a meaningful impact in paying it forward to the community that allows them to thrive.

Make a difference and learn the benefit of volunteering

Families can search for a cause they care about at AmplifyATX.org to learn more about local nonprofits, volunteer opportunities, and to make a gift of any size on Amplify Austin Day — March 5-6, 2020! Families can also make a big impact by setting up a peer-to-peer fundraising page when they click the “Fundraise” button on an organization’s profile.

Many local non-profit organizations provide hands-on learning and volunteer experiences for families. Not only can Austin youth learn the benefits of volunteerism, they can also learn about the experiences of other people in their city. As one of the nation’s most economically segregated cities, it is crucial to expose children and families to all of the city’s non-profit organizations to further everyone’s sense of community.
