So, we’ve been trying to stay away from plastic food containers for quite a while now. We store all our leftovers in glass containers (even in the freezer in tempered glass or glass specifically labeled for freezing), and have migrated to stainless steel lunch boxes and water bottles.
Why? Because plastic is poisoning our bodies and oceans. Doctors and researchers have linked chemicals in plastics, such as BPA (bisphenol-A) and phthalates, in numerous studies to hormone and thyroid problems, behavior issues, obesity, cancer, diabetes, asthma, even kidney and heart conditions. Here's what you can do.

Most people know a home remedy or two to stay healthy or fight a sore throat, a runny nose, or other unwelcoming symptoms that affects their health.
This year during the flu season, "elderberry syrup" became a buzz word and stores such as Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Natural Grocers were sold out of elderberry syrup for weeks.
A local Round Rock Mama, who makes her own elderberry syrup, explains what elderberry syrup is all about and how it can help you keep your family healthy.

We are super excited to announce that we’ve rolled out our new Camp Guide!
The past few months we’ve been researching and reviewing camp guides currently available for camps in and around Austin and found that most guides are available in either print, as a PDF, or simply as an online list with no search functionality.
Many camp providers offer multiple camps and camp sessions for different age groups, with different themes, at different dates, at multiple locations, and at different prices.
So, to make it easy for you, we made the Live Grow Play Austin Camp Guide fully searchable by interest, camp type, camp location, camp dates, age of campers, and price. Check it out.
