Hot Chocolate and Cupcakes Made in an Antique Oven

My daughters found my old oven with stove top in my parentsā€™ attic and of course it ended up in the kitchen with the request to bake cupcakes in the oven and make hot chocolate on the stove. Itā€™s probably safe to say that today the oven is an antique (and would certainly be outlawed in the United States) so I wasnā€™t sure whether it would still work.
