Summer Camps

It's never too early to start thinking about summer camps. Especially when registration for some summer camps are already open or closing soon or when they're free.

Free camps? Yes, there is such a thing as free camps. We've done quite some research to find camps in and around Austin (up to a 2.5 hr radius) that are not a financial burden to families, especially families that already have enough to worry about.

Jump! Gymnastics offers gymnastics instruction to children ages 2 – 12 years at their two locations at North Central Austin and South Central Austin. Jump!’s curriculum and instructor training is focused on teaching life skills through progressive gymnastics in a fun, positive environment.

Registration for their spring break and summer camps are now open!

While summer camps are able to open, many summer camp providers are still hesitant and have decided to either offer virtual summer camps only, or to offer both, virtual camps and in-person camps.

Virtual summer camps are — well, they're virtual, and not location-bound. Technically, a child in Austin, Texas could participate in a camp in Anchorage, Alaska this summer. However, we encourage you to support local businesses and give one of the following a try.

Looking for summer camps? Look no further and join the West Austin Chamber of Commerce for its second annual Summer Camp Fair on Monday, April 1st, 2019.  

This free, fun, family friendly event will feature over 50 booths with information from local summer camps and programs for children preschool age through high school.

Summer and therefore summer camps are over, a new school year has started. Take a minute and reflect on the last few weeks, and especially on the time your child spent in summer camp.
