Discover the fun of science at the Hill Country Science Mill in Johnson City! This family destination offers a fun, interactive learning environment for all ages. Through cutting-edge exhibits, games and programs, the non-profit science center expands understanding and appreciation of science in everyday life. Housed in an historic 1880s mill, the Science Mill features more than 25 world-class exhibits, a 3D theater, interactive maker stations and an on-site café. Students can log on after their visit for more information about careers as scientists, engineers, researchers and technology leaders of tomorrow. Day Tripping for All!

The Science Mill is an amazing place to take children ages 2- 100. My 2 boys enjoy running around the exhibits, playing with their interactive features, and watching the 3D movie they have. My husband loves to sit and explain to them how it all works and ... play outside with their outdoor movement and motion exhibits. We even released butterflies one year. Amazing place to go, make a day of it and check out Johnson City!

Great Day Trip

We love The Science Mill! Only wish it was closer. We enjoy the hands-on exhibits and educational activities offered. Great way to spend the day as a family.
