Crowe's Nest Farm Animal Life Center is a 501(c)3 private, non-profit educational organization dedicated to fostering public appreciation, knowledge, and wise stewardship of both the agricultural and wildlife resources of Texas. We strive to cultivate a conservation ethic in students, teachers, and the general public through hands-on interaction with the wildlife and habitats found on our 100-acre working farm. At the Farm you will find: - Hundreds of domestic farm animals - Rescued and rehabilitated Texas wildlife - Dairy barn with working milking machine - Hay rides to the bison and ostrich pastures - 35 uniquely themed gardens - Organic vegetable gardens - Butterfly house with garden and waterfall - The Big Red Barn, which includes educational exhibits on farming and agriculture, live reptiles, salamanders, arachnids, and insects, and our newly-improved gift shop - The Faierie Wood trail and gardens - Picnic area with shady trees, large pavilion, and Dr. Crowe’s snack bar

Lots of exploring!

We love Crowe’s Nest Farm. Lots of places for kids to explore and shady picnic grounds. Many types of animals to view both outside and inside. Plus they have a cute little gift shop.

A Must-Do With Your Kids

This is one of the greatest and most fun experiences we had and probably one of the best $6 per person (age 3+) spent on any kids activities in and around Austin; both the kids and us parents learned a ton and we all had a blast.
