Great for Kids

Central Market is a great place to take your kids if you need a park early in the morning or for the afternoon. The food choices are also top notch, lots of options and all tasty. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because there is no shade on the playground and in this Texas heat you need shade so I wouldn't take them here midday unless it's during the cooler months.

Must Go Place for Kids

This is our “go to” when visiting north of ladybird lake! We stop across the street at Kendra Scott (for mommy) and then order food at the cafe. The kids can play for hours. Bonus is if you divide and conquer grocery shopping gets done too!

Awesome Playscape

If you are new to Austin and haven't made it to Central Market, you're missing out. Their children's playscape/playground outside is huge with an area for smaller kids (1-3). You can get delicious food from their cafe and eat outside on their large patio. Just be warned that on weekends, this place can be extremely busy.
